Why does my sub sound like something inside vibrates after it hits?

-i have 2 12" subs in a kinda poorly built box they hit great and hard but when they "recoop" (or what ever its called after they hit) it sounds like something is loose inside ratteling around. What is this and what can i do to fix it?
