Problem listening to ipod in my car?

-I connected my ipod to my aux input in my car. And the music plays but the sound mainly comes out of the speakers on the right side only. I tried turning the balance up on the left side but it just comes out really quiet unless I turn the volume up all the way, in which case then you can't hear the right side anymore. I don't know what's wrong. Could it be the cable? I ordered it from china. Thanks.If it isnt the cable it may be worthwhile to note that sometimes the IPOD inverts its digital data when sending it to the CD player turning what would be stereo on your headphones into a strong signal on one side. It all depends on the quality of the file on the IPOD and how the IPOD is being recieved. Lower quality song files are sometimes transferred to a strong signal on one side of the reciever while the other side is lost.
