Need help installing CD player in 1999 Monte Carlo?

-Ok I'm ordering a new car stereo and I have a few questions.....1.) Will I have to buy a new harness, kit, and antenna or does this stuff already come with the cd player I ordered.....2.) Do I really have to unplug my car battery when installing the new CD player ?Your kit will probably include some new wire, but not a harness. You'll have to see if you can find an adapter for your factory harness - Check .. CrutchField.com .. antenna - definitely not, but a CD player doesn't access the antenna. Unhooking the battery ?? Don't see that, either.1) yes you will need a harness, and an antenna adapter, unless you dont plan to listen to the radio.

2) do you have to unplug the battery? No you dont HAVE to , but you should. Especially if you are inexperienced at installing. Of course you can just pull the fuse instead.
