How many watt amp for dual 1000w rms subs?

-Got Dual 12" Punch P3 Loaded Enclosure, but need an amp and i dont know what im really looking for.

Together they are 1000w rms and peak 2000w. -

4-Ohm load created by internal series/parallel wiring

Help meh, how many watts amplifier do i need? Links appreciated, thxIdeally, you'd want an amplifier rated between 600 and 1000 watts RMS into 1 channel at 4 ohms. This might be hard to find, because most mono amps are designed to produce their maximum output with a 2-ohm load, and they won't be as powerful with 4 ohms. That means you end up paying for power you won't be using (at least with this subwoofer system). Another option is a 2-channel amp that can produce 600-1000 watts RMS when bridged, but 2-channel amps with this kind of power aren't common. You'd have a much easier time if the manufacturer had designed the system for a 2-ohm impedance.

Here are a few that would work:

2000 watt amp, you match an amp to speakers so the amp is not working hard. If the amp works hard you get distortion.
A 2000+ watt amp
