Car Stereo System with 2 amps?

-Hey everyone, Question: I have a system that has speakers running off a sony 600 watt 4 channel amp. I want to add a subwoofer but this will require me to buy another amplifier, specifically for the sub. Is there any way i can hook up 2 amps together in a system? Or do i have to stick with One amp.
